Advent retreat at Pokrov - led by Fr Josiah Trenham, Antiochian Diocese. The retreat was sponsored by the Washington Orthodox Clergy Association and hosted by members of the Pokrov parish. Saturday 4th December 2009.

Installation of the Corona

The corona was inspired by a corona in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Capernaum in the Holy Land.
Matushka Sarah received a scholarship from the Pratt Fine Art Institute and the Seattle Metals Guild.
The corona has been hand forged from bronze with copper trimmings and icon prints from the Convent of St Elizabeth in Etna, CA. The red lampada were handblown in the glass studio at the Pratt Institute.
